Our Beliefs

God

We believe in God as creator and sustainer of the universe. God so loved His creation that He sent His son Jesus Christ to save the world. "In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." 1 John 4:9-10

Jesus

We believe that Jesus was both God and man, born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life. He was crucified and died as a penalty for our sins and was bodily resurrected from the dead on the third day. He ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is the head of the church; the body of believers. He will come again to personally claim His bride; His church. "Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:14-16

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, dwells within all believers. He fills and refills believers in response to their yielding to His holy will. We believe the Holy Spirit was given for us to minister to needs both inside and outside of the church. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8

The Bible

We believe in the Bible as the inspired Word of God and in its divine authority. We believe "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17
