About

Vision

Stepping Up, Stepping Out, to change the spiritual landscape of our community, by loving God, and loving others.

Beliefs

God

We believe in God as creator and sustainer of the universe. God so loved His creation that He sent His son Jesus Christ to save the world.

Jesus

We believe that Jesus was both God and man, born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life. He was curcified and died as a penalty for our sins and was bodily resurrected from the dead on the third day. He ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is the head of the church; the body of believers. He will come again to personally claim His bride; His church.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, dwells within all believers. He fills and refills believers in response to their yielding to His holy will. We believe the Holy Spirit was given for us to minister to needs both inside and outside of the church.

The Bible

We believe in the Bible as the inspired Word of God and in its divine authority.

We practice water baptism by immersion; foot washing; regular celebration of communion, prayer, and anointing with oil for physical, mental, and spiritual needs; and public use of an altar for prayer and petition, confessing our needs to God.

Care Ministry

The Lakeview Church of God’s Care Ministry consists of community focused services in and out of our church building. Our Care Ministry department operates a Lunch Ministry every other week for our community as well as a Blanket Ministry, Card Ministry, and various services for funerals, showers, and weddings within our building.  Volunteer help is always needed and as well as specific donations for each department. Please email or call us with any questions or to find out how you can get involved! Below are descriptions of our care department activities.

Lunch Ministry – The lunch ministry makes over 45 lunches each week during the school year for residents of the manor. During the summer they venture with lunches to the Stoneboro Park for the community to take part in this program. For a schedule of lunches, ways to donate, or ways to volunteer please email us!

Blanket Ministry – The blanket ministry is a way we gift another who may be going through a difficult time in life or a time of celebration with new life. Each blanket is prayed over and delivered. If you like to make tie blankets volunteers are always needed to keep this ministry stocked! Please contact us for more information!

Card Ministry – The card ministry sends letters of encouragement to our local community and beyond. They also send cards on birthdays and anniversaries! If you know of someone who would benefit in being added to the list or would like your important life dates added please contact us!

Ladies Missions – Do you love to craft, sew, and create? This ministry may be for you. The Ladies Missions work on projects to give as encouraging gifts and also create items for events at our church. They are always looking for ways to give and would a new request to bless another.

Meals of Love Ministry – When life changes suddenly from illness, a new birth, or the death of a loved one, the Meals of Love Ministry steps in to provide home cooked meals for families who could use a break. Each meal is home made and delivered.

ALIVE Youth

Lakeview Church of God’s ALIVE Youth Group meets every Sunday evening from 6-8 PM.  We welcome any and all teens from 7th through 12th grade.

Our evenings begin with a bit of fun, a little food, and a lot of fellowship!  We continue with teaching from the Word of God and discussion about the truth His Spirit reveals.  Finally, we wrap things up by drawing near to Him through a time of prayer and an offering of praise.

Our mission is to Always Live In View of Eternity, understanding that Jesus Christ is the head of His church, and the one that calls and equips us to be on mission for Him in this life.  Through shared faith in Him, we believe that He is the one who guides and directs His people to bring us into unity with Himself and with one another.

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.     Ephesians 4:11-13

If you are a teen, or know a teen who is looking for an opportunity to unplug, unwind, and possibly take part in a greater mission, you are welcome to join us Sunday evenings!
